2. Car Not Heating
Another sign to look out for is if your vehicle is not heating well or at all in the cabin. If something is wrong with your radiator, it will not be able to circulate the coolant properly and therefore affect the heat in your vehicle.
3. Leaking Coolant
Checking your coolant levels regularly is an important habit when owning a vehicle. If you are checking regularly and you notice the coolant is running low more often or you can even spot a leak, this will lead to bigger issues quickly. You will need to get your vehicle to a mechanic and get it fixed or replaced.
4. Your Temperature Gauge is Running Hot
If the gauge is constantly running at the hotter end, this could indicate an issue with your radiator. It could be something wrong with the gauge itself but if not, it means the cooling system is not functioning the correct way and needs to be replaced.
5. Your Car is Overheating
Let’s end with one that you should not be able to miss - steam will be coming out from under the hood of your vehicle. Even though this one is quite obvious to spot, it does not mean the actual radiator needs to be replaced but it certainly warrants further inspection.
